The Durty Triathlon Sprint – The Short, Fast Durty One
750m Open Water Swim (wetsuits compulsory – these can be hired if required from www.thetricentre.com) One lap, deep water start.
15km Off-Road Mountain Bike. This will be on a combination of tracks, forest roads and paths, and is a bit hilly (ahem!). There’s nothing wildly extreme, however, this is proper mountain biking in places, not just riding round a lovely grassy field – if you feel the need to walk a bit, no problem, we’d prefer you stay in one piece!. One lap.

5km Off-Road Run. New and improved for 2011 (well, we added a big hill), the course is now a single loop, with a mahooosive climb (most of which is visible from transition, so no slacking!), and then the same adrenalin boosting descent as the Long Hard Durty. You may wish to incorporate a few hills in your training regime.....
Rules: Normal Triathlon Scotland rules will apply – see www.triathlonscotland.org for further details. No littering in transition, car park or course. This will result in an instant DQ, no quibbles!. The relationship we have with the landowners and the stunning location depends entirely on you behaving yourself on this issue – no gel wrappers, banana skins, plastic cups, bottles, nowt!”
The Durty Triathlon Standard – The Long, Hard Durty One
1500m Open Water Swim (wetsuits compulsory – these can be hired if required from www.thetricentre.com). Two Laps, deep water start.
30km Off-Road Mountain Bike. Two Laps, passing transition at the end of lap one.
