The Durty Triathlon Sprint – The Short, Fast Durty One
750m Open Water Swim (wetsuits compulsory – these can be hired if required from www.thetricentre.com) One lap, deep water start.
15km Off-Road Mountain Bike. This will be on a combination of tracks, forest roads and paths, and is a bit hilly (ahem!). There’s nothing wildly extreme, however, this is proper mountain biking in places, not just riding round a lovely grassy field – if you feel the need to walk a bit, no problem, we’d prefer you stay in one piece!. One lap.
A downloadable version of the bike route is available by clicking here
5km Off-Road Run. It’s an ‘out-and-back’ single lap along a slightly undulating lochside path. Nice. :)
Rules: Normal Triathlon Scotland rules will apply – see www.triathlonscotland.org for further details. This includes drafting – i.e. don’t (not that you’ll get much chance on your mountain bike!), and littering transition, car park or course. This will result in an instant DQ, no quibbles!. The relationship we have with the landowners and the stunning location depends entirely on you behaving yourself on this issue – no gel wrappers, banana skins, plastic cups, bottles, nowt!”
We’re going to put on a free of charge bus service, shuttling between Peebles/Innerleithen and the race site from approx 1000-0000 on race day if there’s sufficient demand. If people wish to use this service, could they please indicate this by emailing to info@durtytriathlon.com
Additional social tickets are available for purchase after you’ve entered. Please use the standard hard-copy entry form with the appropriate bits filled in, posted to me along with a cheque. Kids (U12 = £7.50, U5 - £0.00) social tickets should be dealt with in the same way.

10km Off-Road Run. Hilly!. Largely on good tracks and forest roads, there’s also a section through a forest ‘ride’, and across some open hillside.
