Swim Taster session will be 7pm on Thursday 22nd July from the car park outside the Glen Café. This is an informal, un-organised event – i.e. by turning up and taking part you agree that you’re responsible for yourself. An opportunity to try the water with some experienced swimmers around the help and advise. It will be relaxed, and there’s no pressure. Probably a beer or two in the Tibbie Sheils afterwards. We’d prefer you to be comfortable when it come to race day, so come and have a go beforehand. The Tri Centre will be in attendance, so if you’re hiring a wetsuit from them, they will be able to also bring it to the taster for you.

The Durty Triathlon will again be taking place at St. Marys Loch on the 31st of July 2010.
Exciting news this year too is that we are now the British Off-Road ('Cross') Champs!
The event is intended to offer a choice of distances suit a range of desires and abilities. On one-hand, the ‘Sprint’ distance race will be a great introduction to Open Water swimming, and off-road racing, but will provide a stiff challenge for the speed-freaks as well.
The ‘Standard’ distance will be a tough, but very rewarding challenge for those wanting to test themselves, and also for experienced racers.

The loch has been chosen for its superb water quality and spectacular surroundings. There’s simply nowhere better in the UK to enjoy racing off-road.
